FAQs
What are the camp hours?
Camp hours are 10am-4pm. Beachmont staggers arrival and departure times of our campers, based on the last name to assist with flow of traffic and to allow an opportunity for our counselors to interact with each family and camper. All campers should be signed in and ready to start their day at 10am.
A-G: Drop Off – 9:40 a.m., Pick Up: 4:00 p.m. H-N: Drop Off – 9:50 a.m., Pick Up: 4:10 p.m.
O-Z: Drop Off – 9:55 a.m., Pick Up: 4:15 p.m.
We do offer Extended Care options for our campers. Extended Care is a supervised, non-structured playtime before and after camp hours. This service is located at the pavilion except for Friday PM care which will be held in the gym. Registration is not required for this service; drop in campers are accepted. All drop in guests must pay cash in full at the time of drop-off/pick-up.
Morning Hours: 8:00am-10:00am Cost: $10 per camper, per day
Afternoon Hours: 4:00pm-6:00pm Cost: $10 per camper, per day
What should my camper wear?
Comfortable clothes that can get wet and dirty. Quick drying clothes are great! Campers should wear sneakers or a sturdy shoe that can be secured to the foot for all activities. We strongly suggest that campers wear their bathing suits to camp each day under their clothing for a quick and easy transition at the pool. Your child will have an opportunity to change out of their swimsuit after their last water activity of the day.
What should my camper bring?
Each camper should bring a small backpack/drawstring bag with these important items: beach towel, spray sunscreen and/or sunscreen stick for face, reusable water bottle, extra set of clothes, and a lunch. Please review the complete list of items to bring in the Beachmont Parent’s Day Camp Guide.
What does a normal day at camp look like?
Our campers will follow a daily schedule for their group that will vary day to day, and might change due to weather conditions. Schedules and activities are designed based upon the age of the camper group. All groups will have swim lessons, pool time, Bible Stories/Devotions, and organized physical activities each day. A typical day will consist of the following:
Ages 4-7: The camp day starts at the group benches for sign-in. Campers will jump into two periods of activities and then lunch. After lunch, there are three periods packed with exciting activities. The camp day ends with forest theater (songs/skits/Bible stories) and then back to their group benches for sign-out.
Activities Include: Pool time for swimming lessons and free swim, Arts & Crafts, Bible stories, Sports/Games, Playground, Giant water slip and slide, Inflatable Obstacle Course, and so much more!
Additional Activities for ages 6-7: Hikes during 2 week sessions (weather dependent), low ropes course, rope swing pond (swimming level dependent), and archery.
Ages 8-13: The camp day starts at the group benches for sign-in and then they have large group devotions (songs/skits/Bible Stories). They jump into two periods of activities and then lunch. After lunch, there are three periods packed with exciting activities. The camp day ends with devotions and then back to their group benches for sign-out.
Activities Include: Pool time for swimming lessons and free swim, Arts & Crafts, Bible stories, Sports/Games, Archery, Giant water slip and slide, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Hikes (weather dependent), Archery Tag (ages 11-13 only), Low Ropes Course, Field Games, and so much more!
What is the differences between a ‘mini’ session and a full session?
Not much! A Mini Session is a one week camp compared to our full sessions that are two weeks long. This one week camp offers almost all of the same exciting activities that are offered in a two-week session in a condensed version. Due to time constraints, we will not take organized hikes during the Mini Sessions.
Is lunch provided?
Lunch is not provided, but you can pre-order lunches from our vendors (Monday: Chick fil A, Tuesday: Papa John’s Pizza, Wednesday: Chick fil A, Thursday: Wawa subs, Friday: Papa John’s Pizza) at time of registration. You are also able to add lunch orders to your registration until June 1 for Mini Session 1, Session 1, & Session 2. Orders for Session 3, Session 4, & Mini Session 2 must be placed by July 1. Due to agreements with vendors, there are no exceptions to these deadlines.
Many families choose to pack a lunch for their campers. Lunches will be stored in a cooler and delivered to the pavilion for easy distribution to each group. It is recommended to include a small ice pack in the lunch box/bag to assist with temperature control of your camper’s lunch.

How are campers grouped?
Campers are grouped by the age they are when they attend camp. Our campers are grouped within the following age divisions:
Division A: 4-5 year old campers, Division B: 6-7 year old campers, Division C: 8-10 year old campers, and Division D: 11-13 year old campers.
Within each age division, campers are grouped within 18 months of their birthdates with exceptions to friend requests that are made within the age division.
Can I request that my camper be grouped with a friend?
Yes! Beachmont will accept (2) two friend requests per camper. Campers must be within the same age division to allow for this grouping. While we cannot guarantee that we are able to honor all friend requests, we do try our very best to keep friends grouped together while attending camp. Once campers are assigned to a group, there will be no changes. Even if we are unable to honor your friend request, there will still be opportunities for campers in different groups to see and interact with each other, especially within the same age division.
How do I cancel registration?
Please contact Beachmont via email info@beachmont.org and/or phone 410-592-3648 to make this request. Requests to cancel a reservation will be accepted until April 30. A refund will be granted (minus the non-refundable deposit) until this date.
After April 30, refunds will only be issued in the event of a medical concern with doctor’s orders, or major medical emergency (broken bone, sprain, etc.), with doctor’s orders and if approved by Beachmont.
Are scholarships available?
The Beachmont Day Camp Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to campers who would otherwise be unable to attend camp. We attempt to give financial aid to each family that has a demonstrated need. However, Beachmont is only able to issue a limited number of scholarships. Visit the Scholarship Information page to learn how to apply or learn how you can help send a child to camp.
