“Great opportunities for my kids to meet new people, learn, grow, and make friends”
Growing up in the area, Krista heard about Beachmont and began her involvement through the Easter Sunrise Service. Years later, she now attends Beachmont for various Athletic Programs, Day Camp, the Corn Maze, and more events with her family. “Beachmont is an open space, readily open for community,” says Krista.
Krista encourages her children's involvement at Beachmont because of the community and environment. “The kids always get together with their friends from Beachmont to hang out. I would feel apprehensive in other circumstances, but I know Beachmont is a safe place,” says Krista. “My kids can enjoy being teens without poor influences or worrying about safety.”
Her children attended Beachmont as campers, Junior Counselors, Senior Counselors, Arts and Crafts Leaders, and more. Krista finds these opportunities have positively influenced her children and their leadership. “My daughter was timid going into a leadership position, but by the end of the summer, she was much more confident and much happier.” “Beachmont has provided great opportunities for my kids to meet new people, learn, grow, and make friends,” says Krista.
She also appreciates the opportunities to bond with her children through Archery. “Family Archery was so fun! They held a tournament to see who could get the best score. It was exciting even for me, I wanted to win the trophy arrow,” says Krista.
She also appreciates the Christian sports environment for her kids. “They’re learning to use the bodies God has given them rather than focusing on recklessly beating the other team. Praying before and after games is also a really big deal!”
“My children have been challenged here while being supported by everyone around them.”
